Dr. Kent Gremmels was born in DuQuoin, Illinois. Throughout school he was active in Sports, Band, Student Government, and Theatre. He graduated from DuQuoin High School and attended Southern Illinois University. Upon completion of his studies at SIU he attended and graduated from Logan College of Chiropractic in 1981, with a Bachelor in Human Biology and a Doctorate in Chiropractic. Dr. Gremmels has postgraduate certification in Erhardt xray seminars and is a certified Chiropractic Sports Physician through National College of Chiropractic
He married in 1978 to his wife Lisa and they have three children. After moving to Birmingham in 1981, with his wife, Dr. Gremmels went to work as an associate at Roebuck Chiropractic Center. In 1982, he opened his own practice and continues to operate Gremmels Chiropractic Center in Center Point.
He actively participated in slow pitch softball and coached little league baseball in Center Point and Trussville for 20 years. Dr. Gremmels has been able to use his background as a sports physician to treat people with common musculoskeletal injuries, on-the-job injuries, Auto-Accident injuries, and the wear and tear injuries that occur in everyday life
Dr. Troy Lofton was born in Bogalusa, Louisiana. After graduating from Sherman College of Chiropractic and practicing a few years in Mobile, Alabama he relocated to serve the members of the Center Point community. While at Sherman he completed additional education in Advanced Clinical Radiology and was a respected member of a group of specially trained radiology interns.
Dr. Lofton is passionate about healthy babies and moms-to-be. He enjoys working with, and educating, pregnant moms to alleviate common symptoms during pregnancy and help facilitate an easier labor and delivery. His work with babies and toddlers is focused on assessing neurological function and keeping their development on track to prevent future health and behavior issues. Dr. Lofton is certified in the Webster Technique by the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA).
Dr. Lofton has a special interest in degenerative conditions of the spine. In particular, he focuses on the non-surgical treatment of herniated discs, sciatica, spinal stenosis, and degenerative disc disease. Dr. Lofton uses evidence based treatments for the management of musculoskeletal pain. He employs advanced technology at Gremmels Chiropractic to deliver cutting edge care and help patients avoid spinal surgery. He is actively involved in ongoing research and educational advancements in the treatment of musculoskeletal and disc conditions.
